Hi, I'm Scott. Corporate IT pro, local PC builder.
Technology has been my passion since I was a kid, and for the last 18 years it's been my career. I'm an IT manager with almost two decades of experience leading corporate IT operations, and Side Quest PCs brings that experience to homes and small businesses in Spring Hill.
In my current role, I manage end-user support and IT operations for a global engineering and design firm across the United States. I serve as the escalation point for complex networking, hardware, and security issues, and I lead the company's AI implementation for my region. With Side Quest PCs, you get the same standards and attention to detail I bring to enterprise IT, applied to your PC, laptop, or photos.
Your tech is my side quest
In a game, a side quest is the mission you take on alongside the main story, usually to help someone out. That's what this is for me. Corporate IT is my main story, and helping neighbors with their PCs is the quest I choose to take on.
It's also the fun part. I've built and fixed computers since I was a kid, and every build, upgrade, and repair gets the same care I give my own rig. Drop off by appointment or use pickup, and most repairs are ready the next day.
I live here, I'm raising kids here, and I serve as vice president of my neighborhood's homeowners association. I treat your computer, your photos, and your business the way I'd want mine treated.
A career in corporate IT leadership
I've been working with technology since I was young, back when it was new and exciting. It started as a hobby, and I learned everything I could about it. I started my professional career while still in college, in IT support for a Fortune 500 retailer, and since 2012 I've managed IT for professional services firms.
Over that time I've built infrastructure for new offices, managed vendor relationships, developed help desk processes and documentation, and led the planning and rollout of new technology across large organizations.
Side Quest PCs applies that same structured approach to every job, whether it's a single laptop or a small office network.

Before 2008
Where it started · A lifelong hobby
I got hooked on computers as a kid, when the technology was still new and exciting. All things IT became my hobby, and I spent years learning everything I could, long before it was my job.
What that means for you
My background covers the full range of technology a home or small business depends on, from individual devices to networks, security, and cloud systems.
Problems get diagnosed methodically, not guessed at, and you get a straight answer about what's wrong.
Business Wi-Fi and firewalls from WatchGuard, SonicWall, Ubiquiti, and Ruckus, set up to be fast and locked down.
Practical help using ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, and Gemini in your business, with clear rules that keep customer data safe.
Email, accounts, and file sharing set up the way large companies do it, sized for a small team.
Devices that stay updated and secure, and can be locked or wiped if a laptop goes missing.
Retail shops and restaurants get help from someone who knows point-of-sale systems and what downtime costs.
TVs, cameras, and video calls in your office that work the first time.
Plain-English explanations, and written notes on your setup that you keep.
Websites and online stores built with accessibility and search in mind, by someone who sells online too.

What you can count on
Posted prices
Every common service has its price on the site. You'll know the cost before anything is done.
Nothing without your OK
I text you the problem and the quote. No work and no charges beyond the diagnostic until you approve.
Straight answers
If a repair costs more than the device is worth, I'll tell you and help you choose a replacement instead.
Your data stays yours
I only access what the repair needs. I don't keep copies of your files once the job is done.
Honest about limits
I don't do board-level soldering or lab data recovery. When a job needs a specialist, I'll say so and point you to one.
Work that's covered
Repair labor comes with a 30-day warranty, and there are no fees for paying by card.
Spring Hill and nearby
Bring your computer, console, or photos to my bench in Spring Hill, or I'll pick them up and bring them back. Repairs happen at my bench, not in your home.
